Step 1 Beauty Tips – Cleansing.
Don’t pay for expensive cleansing lotions. Cleansing removes dirt and grime and also aids in opening up the pores making it more susceptible to absorb active ingredients. Aromatherapy skin care cleansers do not contain chemical and mineral oil fillers.
- Place a small amount of cleanser in the palm of your hand massage together.
- Start from the neck in upward strokes.
- Move into circular motion over the cheeks and forehead. Don’t forget to work around the nose and chin area.
I like cleansing while in the shower. This way I also massage my décolleté an area we all seem to forget. After wearing make-up or you’ve had a day outside in the garden etc. I would suggest a second cleansing. Rinse thoroughly.
Through cleansing once a day is enough. Over cleanse and you will strip the acid mantle which is the barrier that keeps out bacteria.
The skins ph is between 4.5 and 6.2 which is acidic. Chemicals and contaminants are alkaline so the acid mantle helps to neutralize the chemical effects and balance the ph.
You should only need to use water to wash the face in the morning. I will often use a toner as this will gently cleanse and also helps to balance the ph level of your skin.
Sep 2 Beauty Tips – Exfoliating.
Your skin is constantly generating new cells. Old cells are therefore shedding and making way for the new ones. This process slows down as we age. The dry cells are not shedding off as fast causing dry, rough and dull complexion.
If not removed these dry cells will also block our pores stopping the flow of natural oils (sebum).Once this flow is stopped the Sebum will become solid and form a plug causing blackheads. There are different exfoliating methods but at the moment we are using the physical over the counter facial scrub.
- Place small amounts on the tips of your fingers. In small circular motions gentle move over areas of the cheeks, chin around the nose and forehead.
- Rinse thoroughly.
Once again when using physical exfoliates there is no need for expense. Once again I highly recommend this

It is possible, however, to over exfoliate, especially on the delicate skin of the face. Over exfoliating will dry and irritate the skin. Do not use where there are large amounts of broken capillaries, acne prone, rashes, rosacea and psoriasis.

Step 3 Beauty Tips – Facial Masks
Using a mask once a week is all part of the deeper cleansing process. Using a mask that will draw out impurities and toxins but also introduce active ingredients that are beneficial to you skins condition and health.
Kaolin masks draw out oil, dirt, grime and toxins from deep in the pores. Clay has been proven scientifically for its ability to draw toxins and chemical substances and disperse of them.
Hydrating masks also clean deeper into the pores of the skin and introduce active ingredients increasing moisture, improved elasticity giving a more supple firmer glowing skin.
- Smooth mask over face and neck, being careful around the eye area. Leave on for 20 to 30 minutes then wash off.
- Apply once weekly using your clay mask and hydrating mask alternatively.
Step 4 Beauty Tips – Toner
A facial toner balances out the pH levels in your skin. Your skin can take from 20 mins to 1 hour to balance out. A facial toner works instantly to restore the pH back to normal. Do not skip this step as it helps clean, hydrate and moisturize your skin.

- Place a good amount of toner on a cotton pad. Start wiping from the neck up to the cheeks around the nose and to the forehead. Always work in upward gentle strokes.
- Remove any excess mask from skin.
Step 5 Beauty Tips – Moisturizer
Your day and night moisturizer should contain ingredients that help support the collagen and elastin. That will help increase the renewal and regeneration of new cells. They should also contain Anti-oxidants to fight free radicals that destroy the skin. A high percentage of active ingredients should be present in your moisturizer. You need to use high grade moisturizers that hydrate and nourish your skin.
- Place small dobs of moisturizer on neck, chin, cheeks, nose and forehead.
- Gently massage into skin in an upward direction. Do not rub into your skin gently pressing in is a milder and more effective method.
